THEY'RE COMING!! What to do before each showing.

The first showing as been booked. Now, how do make sure your home gives the best first impression to those each set of buyers??

1. Turn on all the lights. Make sure any rooms without overhead lights have very bright lamps.

2. Open all the blinds and curtains. Let that natural light stream in helping make your rooms look bigger and more inviting.

3. Hide those dirty dishes! Make sure countertops are clear and all dirty dishes are hidden in the dishwasher. Also hide your sponges, washrags and even your soap dispenser.

4. Clean the fingerprints. Hopefully you have cleaned all the windows prior to the first day. At a minimum make sure there are no smudges on the front door, your fridge, and mirrors.

5. Hide the pet stuff. If you have pets make sure to hide food and water dishes, beds, and esp the kitty box. At the least, place them in an out of the way area in the garage or basement.

6. Sweep the stoop! And while you are at it, make sure all floors have a fresh vacuum and sweep. A quick sweep of your front and entrance also helps make a nice impression.

7. Polish up the powder room. Lids down, counters clean, and towels perfectly hung all enhance the look of the bathroom. If your towels are dingy or outdated don't leave them out.

8. Make the bed. For sure do this.

9. Hide your personal items. Don't forget to check nightstands and office.

10. Leave at least 15 min before the scheduled start time.
